At Legatum Publishing, 2024 kicked off with a positive and insightful feature about our author Renaud Camus in American Renaissance. The year concluded with another favorable book review on the same platform.
Throughout the year, we participated in meaningful events, such as the the Norwegian national conservativ partys, Norgesdemokratenes torchlight procession and wreath-laying ceremony honoring Christian Magnus Falsen, known as “the Father of the Constitution.” We also organized several Kahoot! quizzes for party members on the topic of “The Great Replacement.”
A highlight of the year was our collaboration with artist and author Rikard Högberg. Together, we attended the Institut Iliade colloquium in Paris for the second time, where we connected with numerous authors who will join our publishing family in the coming years. A new feature this year was Legatum Publishing’s video greeting, shared with an audience of 1,500 participants at the event.
In 2024, we supported the cultural pushback against gender ideology by introducing Stolthetsmåned (Stolzmonat in German) to Norway. This initiative received overwhelming support, and we look forward to making it an annual tradition.
This year also brought opportunities to form connections with notable politicians and new allies. A memorable moment was meeting Gustav Kasselstrand, leader of Alternative for Sweden, in Bergen, where we presented him with a curated book package. We also met Arktos’ publishing editor Constantin von Hoffmeister at Institut Iliade’s 11th symposium. Following an engaging conversation, Tore Rasmussen was invited to participate in the Eurosiberia Podcast.
One of the most exciting highlights of the year was the release of the audiobook Hunger, featuring an AI-generated voice based on Knut Hamsun’s likeness, during the Hamsundagene festival in Hamarøy. The resulting debate brought renewed focus to Hamsun’s literary legacy and the issue of cancel culture in Norway.
Our educational efforts regarding replacement migration continued with vigor. In the final quarter, we launched Renaud Camus’ 2023 Brussels speech, “What is the Great Replacement?”, as both an audiobook and a paperback.
A major focus this year has been on audiobooks, part of our Vox Machina (“The Machine’s Voice”) project. This upcoming platform will allow independent authors and publishers to sell audiobooks via a subscription model. The audiobooks, narrated by either human voices or AI-generated ones based on the author’s original voice, aim to set a new standard. In addition to hosting content from others, Legatum Publishing plans to produce more of our own AI-generated audiobooks. Although we planned to launch this platform in 2024, the release has been postponed to next year.
A strong conservative wave is sweeping across the West. The results of this year’s U.S. presidential election and the upcoming German elections, where AfD is poised for a historic performance, give us great optimism for the future. Our time is coming, friends. Happy New Year!
