Introducing Legatum Art

Legatum Publishing is branching out with a dedicated focus on art. Our first artist is writer, sculptor and painter Rikard Högberg, known for helping to preserve a set of 3500 year old rock carvings in Herrebro, Sweden.

We are happy to announce that Legatum Publishing is branching out with a dedicated focus on art. In addition to selling books, we will be selling works of selected European artists and organise art exhibitions.

Our first artist in this line is writer, sculptor and painter Rikard Högberg, who goes under the artist name Knyaz Rikard. Rikard has been the Chairman of Stockholm Culture Awards since 1983, has written 20 books, speaks six languages and known for his work in helping to preserve a set of 3500 year old rock carvings in Herrebro, Sweden.

In 1988 The Swedish Road Administration wanted to remove historical rock carvings in order to build a motorway in the Swedish municipality of Tanum. Thanks to Rikard and his friends, who organised demonstrations and worked hard to preserve this piece of Nordic history, the petroglyphs were saved. Since then, the petroglyphs have become the central motivation in his art.

It is natural for us to start with this artist because we at Legatum Publishing strive in producing books and related material with wholesome content that help Europeans reconnect with their heritage and history. Rikard helped preserve this 3500 years old art for future generations by bringing this to life, cultivating and reshaping it. His works are available to order through us here.
