This diabolical enterprise eradicates distinct cultural, racial, and national identities in favor of what he calls UHM—Undifferentiated Human Matter. Camus argues that this leads to the erasure of not only foreigners but, even “foreignness”, resulting in a world where differences are eliminated and everyone is “everywhere at home”.
